Zagreb - 06.03.2023 - At the first #1 Alfatec Press Brunch, we presented the business results for the past year and made a short retrospective of Alfatec’s history. During the last 7 years, we have carried out a series of transformations that include new technologies, expanding areas of expertise, and increasing the size of the company. In just the past year, Alfatec's financial results have grown by 80%.
Kristina Šimac, financial director of Alfatec, confirmed that the year was one of the most successful in the history of Alfatec:
"In the past year, revenues increased by about 80%, and exports by 65%. The successful years leading up to 2022 enabled us to collect resources in a financial and business form in order to invest them in the improvement of business at all levels. Together with this year 2023, investments will amount to more than half a million euros".
After a successful 33 years and a business that followed modern ICT trends, we decided to rebrand last year. In addition to a completely new visual identity, story, and slogan behind the brand, we also launched a new website. The last step of this story is the redesign of the office, which is currently underway so that our employees will move to a new, modernized office with even better working conditions in the spring.
Marko Kornfeld, Managing Director, reflected on Alfatec's rich history:
"I am extremely proud that Alfatec has only followed a positive business path in its history. I would like to thank all the past and present employees who, with their knowledge and skill, created Alfatec as it is today, and especially my dear father, who in 2016 gave me his trust by handing over the position of director. With this important role comes great obligations and responsibilities, and among them was the setting of a new strategy. Since then, we have been working intensively on its implementation, which aims to take a significant step forward and lay solid foundations for the next 33 years of business."
The past year was also significant in personnel expansion - we increased the number of employees by more than 30% and salaries by 10%, which was also a reward for all employees for their exceptional effort, work, and contribution. We found some of the new employees at student fairs, which we participate in every year (FER, FOI, and PMF).
All of this was recognized by our business partners, so the Thales group, whose products we have been distributing for 25 years, granted us with the award for the fastest-growing distributor in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for 2021. For us, a "small" Croatian company, to receive an award from a company whose products are also Rovers on Mars is a great recognition and confirmation of the quality of work and expertise of our employees.
We are especially proud of two outstanding projects – the Elarion platform and the HYBRID project.
Alfatec Elarion Hospitality all-in-one hotel solution
Last year, at the largest B2B fair in tourism, World Travel Market London, we presented the Elarion Hospitality solution, which is part of the Elarion platform. It enables defining the best accommodation prices in relation to competition for the hotels, companies, chains and boutique hotels, and camps, managing their own online reputation and analyzing guest satisfaction through in-stay and post-stay communication.
Some of the users of Elarion Hospitality solutions are also companies such as Valamar, Blue Lagoon, and Hotel Dubrovnik. This year, we continue with the development of the Elarion platform, with additional reinforcements of the development and sales teams.
The HYBRID project, along with Alfatec, is co-financed by the European Defense Fund (EDF), and it is one of the most important projects, not only for the European Union, but also for our company.
Development of the HYBRID project will take place within our special Department of Homeland Security. We are developing the HYBRID project in cooperation with partners from France and Greece.
Due to the complexity of this project, but also other development projects we are working on, we are looking for additional quality specialists and experts.
