Key insights from the Alfatec Group & Thales Bootcamp 2025: how NIS2 and DORA are shaping cyber resilience in the region.

As a part of Alfatec team that's been working with Croatian organizations for over 30 years, I want to bring attention to an important change for many companies regarding NIS2 compliance that now requires strategic attention from organizational leadership.

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending a Digital Trust Day event in Sarajevo hosted by Lanaco in partnership with Entrust, bringing together leading professionals from the digital security space.

Alfatec Group takes pride in the success of the educational initiative “AI se educiraj” (Get Educated on AI), organized by the Croatian Association for Artificial Intelligence (CroAI). This program, aimed at teachers, professors, principals, and non-teaching staff in Croatia's education system, has already made a significant impact under the expertise of Ive Botunac, Director of Research and Development at Alfatec Group.

Alfatec and Thales joined their forces again in Zagreb for a workshop event, dedicated to strengthening cybersecurity and resilience against threats, where experts gathered to address the requirements related to NIS2 and DORA regulations. The introductory speech was given by Azur Šaćiragić from ALFATEC, followed by Gabor Hirsch from Thales, who provided an overview of the regional implementation status of NIS2 and DORA.

Alfatec Group’s IT Security department recently participated in the prestigious Thales & Imperva Partner Connect event, held on November 5-6 in Budapest, Hungary. Organized by Thales & Imperva, a Thales company, this global leader in digital security brought together leading information security experts, key managers, and top partners from across the globe into one conference.

The end of September seemed like the perfect time for our official teambuilding event. Though traditionally held in May each year, this time our business commitments took priority, so instead of spring, we chose early autumn for our gathering. For many of us, this was our first teambuilding, but it will certainly remain a fond memory. Here’s why.
